I love kids! Interacting with them lights me up, building relationships with them brings meaning, and guiding their development fascinates me.
In South Korea, in 2013, I began teaching and designing curriculum. Since then, I've moved back to the States, earned my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, completed Montessori 3-6 Certification, taught in a variety of schools, and worked part time in curriculum design. Currently, I teach PreK at a Montessori School in Denver, Colorado.
As a teacher, designing curriculum never stops because new students bring new inspiration. My favorite way to start brainstorming activities, materials, and lesson plans for a unit is by checking out as many picture books on the subject as possible. This is how I've come to recognize gaps in the market.
Besides working with kids, picture books are the next best part of teaching. Discovering the perfect book for a lesson or to share is a thrill. I know what children enjoy, what teachers appreciate, and what everyone, no matter their age, loves about good picture books.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, our toddler son, and our three-legged cat. Some favorite activities include walking, drinking coffee, and listening to podcasts. Skiing and traveling are two things I hope to do more of in the future!
